General Discussion / Re: Firmware 1.2.2?
« on: February 04, 2015, 01:50:48 pm »
The major release is 1.2.1 over 1.2, and we did announce 1.2.1.

1.2.2 is just a minor release with some minor bug fixes over 1.2.1.

Help / Re: Port forwarding howtos
« on: January 02, 2015, 07:38:25 pm »
There is a very good instruction on how to do port forwarding for airport here:

http://www.macworld.com/article/2081139/how-to-set-up-port-forwarding.html

Remember, the port you'd want to use is 8000.  You'd also want to reserve an IP
address for your controller as mentioned on the bottom of the page.

I tried with an iPad.  It usually takes 2-3 clicks to get it to change.  Will report it back to engineering.

Feature Request / Re: Delay between zones
« on: December 10, 2014, 09:48:36 am »
We have a lot of features that we'd like to put in, but it's impossible to implement them all.  What we do is rank the importance of the feature vs time to implement, then fit them into the schedule.  Sorry your feature cannot make it this time, but I'm sure it will be addressed.

Firmware updates / BlueSpray firmware 1.2.1 released
« on: November 29, 2014, 11:23:25 am »
We are please to announce the release of firmware 1.2.1 today.  Mostly a bug fix release, 1.2.1 also sees some new features added such as:

1. Water Restriction compliance - for those who need to follow water restriction rules imposed by your local water municipal, we can help.  We've implemented for rules that water certain day(s) of the week by certain address number only.  We'll add more as we encounter more.  If you have water restriction rule but you don't see it listed, please contact our support group.

2. Variance scheduled run - if you need to do extra watering while following water restriction, you can specify a scheduled run as Variance in the "Active" field and the controller will run this schedule along side water restriction runs.

3. Master valve configurable by program - if you have a master valve, by default, it will turn on for every run.  But if you have the need for finer granularity, you can specify whether you want to turn it on or off for each program.  This is helpful for those who want to operate a pump but may have multiple water sources, and you may need to turn on a pump from one water source but not from another.  For those who need to turn on the pump by zone, you can do so by creating a program that runs those zones only.

If your controller's firmware version is 1.2, go to Settings->Administration.  If the Update button (next to Latest Version) is active, just click on it.  If you have an older firmware version (1.1.x), you'd have to download the latest firmware from our support page to your computer then upload to the controller to update.

It appears that the problem was contributed by the buttons being too closed to each other.  We've spread the buttons out a little bit to make the button click more sensitive in 1.2.1.

We're working on that issue at the moment.  Hopefully we will be able to include it in the next firmware release (1.2.1).

What firmware version is your controller?  For conservative settings, you should try 24 hrs into the future.

The controller would download weather info from NOAA 1 hour before a schedule run if you enabled the weather feature.  It will ask for data for the next X hours in the forecast range number.  In your case, it the forecast says there's a 61% chance or higher of rain, the run is cancelled.  It may rain in your area, but the forecast probably said less than 60%.  Remember, it's only a forecast and it may not be 100% accurate.

If it is cancelled, you will see it in Today's run.  The controller does log cancelled runs, but does not show it at this time.  We have plans to show the weather data and cancelled runs in future firmware release.

There is absolutely no affect of the wifi signal to the terminals.  The wifi signals just keeps the unit connected to the network while the terminals are connected to a separate AC line from the power adapter.
Let's just keep an eye out for it.

Help / Re: Pump Controller?
« on: September 02, 2014, 11:50:07 pm »
We have another user with multi water source set up like yours but it applies to all zones, not some i.e. he uses either city water or pond water for all of the zones.  If we implement master valve at the zones then it won't work in this scenario.  That is why we think master valve at the program is more flexible.

For your case, you would create 2 programs, one for city with the zones that are fed by city water only and the other program for all zones that are fed by other source.
