I connected to the bluespray network with good signal strength, but I can't get it to find 192.168.1.1

I used Chrome and received :Unable to connect

Even though I had over 3 bars of signal strength from the BlueSpray network to my laptop It wouldn't connect.  I just took my iPad and stood next to the controller and was now able to connect.

I know Bluespray will respond with the fix for you, but thought I would throw out something I use from time to time on Wifi devices that I need to confirm the IP address.

I use a free app on my iPhone/ipad called FING. It's a WiFi network scanner that will show you all the IP addresses of all the devices on your Wifi. Just run the app on your smartphone/tablet while connected to your Wifi and run a scan and look for the device name (I think Bluespray shows as Bluespray). Now you have/confirmed the IP address and you can type that in the address bar of your browser.

There's another app called iNet that does a similar thing.

Is your controller running in standalone or internet mode?

It appears that your controller is of version 2.0.  In 2.0, the hotspot IP address is 192.168.123.1 instead of 192.168.1.1.

I can see the Bluespray in my wifi choices, I have connected to it and it shows up as a “Bluespray limited”

I cannot access the system.

I have had this unit for about a week.
a) installed and updated to the v2. ( Chrome, Win Edge and Fox all were working )
b) working ok I think, zone 6 no longer watering. ???
c) had to reboot my router 10/25/15 5am, no longer can I talk to the Bluespray.
d) spent 6 hrs on the unit, ip’s, re-boot, reading forums,  I AM DONE.

Your controller has 2.0.  You have to leave the switch down.  Once the switch is up, the
controller no longer runs the hotspot.  Doesn't your controller have instruction on the
sticker?

The way it works is when you slide the switch down, the controller operated the bluespray
hotspot for you to connect directly to provision, set up networking, etc.  When you slide
it up, the hotspot goes away, but if you've configured it to connect to you router, you can
then just access it from your network.

We can see that your controller was able to connect to the router and get online. However, the connection was sporadic, which usually means a weak or unreliable wifi connection.  You might want to check the signal quality as observed by the controller.
